Mauritius Dengue Cases Skyrocket by 18.4% in Four Days
Latest figures provided by the Ministry of Health demonstrate a surge in the number of dengue cases.
As of Friday 1st March, the number of active dengue cases in Mauritius had risen from 494 to 585 in just four days, representing a worrying increase of 18.4%.
Rodrigues had 468 active cases. It is worth noting that the first case of dengue was recorded on 11th December.
To date, Mauritius has recorded a total of 2,200 cases, while Rodrigues has reported 742 cases. Two deaths directly linked to the virus have been recorded so far.
