“Kandasamys: The Baby,” a highly anticipated South African film, partially shot against the picturesque backdrop of Mauritius, is set to premiere on Netflix on Friday evening.

This film is the sequel to two previously popular films that followed the captivating adventures of the Kandasamys – which follows two Indian families who must learn to get along despite some amusing mistakes and turmoil along the road.

The in-laws head to Mauritius for the birth of their grandchild and stir up comic trouble in this fourth installment of the Kandasamy franchise.

The Mauritian film and cinema sector played a significant role in the making of this film, with over 70 crew members and 300 actors and extras involved.

Additionally, two Mauritian actors, Edeen Bhugeloo and Poonam Jheelan, were chosen for important roles in the movie.

The film was shot at exceptional locations in Mauritius, highlighting the country’s natural beauty, and received support from the Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Mauritius Film Development Corporation (MFDC) through the Rebate Scheme for the film sector.
