The Mauritius pavilion at the Westman Multicultural Festival, in Canada, is eagerly preparing to showcase the island’s rich culture.

Kerselin Fumier, the event coordinator and vice-chair of the festival, expressed excitement about sharing their traditions with Canadian friends, particularly those in the Westman region.

The pavilion, which last operated in 2020 before the pandemic, will open its doors on February 9th and 10th at the Westman Immigrant Services multicultural centre in Brandon.

The pavilion will serve renowned national dishes such as fried noodles, mixed vegetable pickle, and farata, accompanied by Mauritian coconut flan for dessert.

Attendees can enjoy traditional Mauritian music by Island Vibes while exploring photographs and information highlighting the country’s vibrant culture.
