Tragedy: 23-Year-Old Man Pulled from Water in Rochester Falls
The body of an employee of Indian airline Vistra was removed from water in Rochester Falls on the eve of his departure back to India.
According to initial reports gathered so far, a group of colleagues, six employees of the airline, were at Rochester Falls on Thursday afternoon and were walking at the base of the waterfall.
Three of them were in the water when one of them reportedly slipped and got into trouble.
The police were alerted and the Mauritian Police Intervention Group (GIPM) conducted a search, with the lifeless body of the young man only being found and pulled out of the water late in the evening.
His body was transported to Nehru Hospital in Rose-Belle for autopsy purposes.
