Air Mauritius Offers Free Changes As Storm Nears

Following the forecasts from the Mauritius weather station regarding an approaching tropical storm Eleanor and a possibility of deteriorating weather conditions, Air Mauritius informs passengers that flight operations could be affected in the coming days, especially on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 February.

“Therefore, if you wish to change your travel date starting today, Air Mauritius offers a complimentary change for travel until 31 March 2024.

Air Mauritius has urged its passengers to ensure that their contact numbers are provided in their bookings through their partners, travel agencies,” the airline specifies.

In case of delays, rescheduling or cancellations of flights, a dedicated page on the website (https://www.airmauritius.com/news) provides access to updates regarding flights affected by the bad weather.

This page allows passengers to manage their itineraries remotely in order to avoid congesting the call center, stated the aviation company.

“Passengers are kindly requested not to proceed to the airport if they have not been informed in advance of the status of their bookings so as not to hinder operations,” the statement concluded.
