New Duty-Free Alcohol Limits in Mauritius

Since 1st January 2024, passengers arriving in Mauritius are entitled to two litres of strong liquor (such as whisky) and four litres of wine/beer duty-free.

The same applies to passengers travelling to Rodrigues.

They can also purchase three litres of spirits and six litres of beer/wine, provided they pay the taxes.

Additionally, they are allowed 250 grams of tobacco (cigarettes or cigars).

It is worth noting that after the Covid pandemic, passengers were able to take more alcohol, as Mauritius Duty Free Paradise was left with excess bottles.
