Starting this Monday morning, May 27, construction work on drains has commenced in St-Jean, affecting the road leading to the MCB building along the M1 highway.

The route will be closed for the next three months, according to a statement from the authorities.

The construction work is part of measures taken to mitigate the risk of flooding in the region.

As a result, traffic from the south will be diverted to the Ébène interchange. Motorists will then be redirected to the Cybercity roundabout to access the Old Moka Road.

For those traveling from Quatre-Bornes, an alternative diversion will be implemented. They will be redirected to the Trianon roundabout to access the Old Moka Road.

To ensure smooth navigation, signs have been installed to inform drivers of the changes. The police are also present on site to maintain order and ensure public safety.

It is essential for drivers to exercise caution and follow the directions provided.

Works are expected to last for three months, and commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly.

With these measures in place, authorities aim to reduce the risk of flooding and minimize disruptions to traffic in the area.
