Sunday Weather: Heavy Rain Warning in Mauritius Until 19h00

The warning comes as a result of moist and unstable atmospheric conditions in the region, which are leading to the formation of active clouds over Mauritius.

Additionally, clouds from the northern sector are causing moderate to heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms that are expected to persist throughout the day.

As a result of these weather conditions, practical advice has been issued to the public.

It is advised to remain in safe places, avoid open areas, refrain from hiking or venturing out to sea, and avoid seeking shelter under trees.

It is also recommended to avoid areas prone to water accumulation and to exercise caution on the roads due to reduced visibility caused by heavy rains and fog patches.
