Anba Manikham Suspended, Causing Quite a Stir at Air Mauritius

Anba Manikham, Senior Manager Ground Services Worldwide, has been suspended from his duties. This was confirmed by Air Mauritius.

He received his suspension letter on Tuesday, April 2nd. On March 13th, a note addressed to the staff by the company announced his transfer from Cabin Operations and Inflight Services to the Ground Services Worldwide department.

Just a few days ago, Anba Manikham was sent to London-Gatwick to oversee the operations of the aircraft leased by Air Mauritius from Hi Fly for three weeks.

He is expected to return to the country this Thursday, April 4th, following this disciplinary action.

In early March, Anba Manikham, along with other executives of the company, was accused in an anonymous letter regarding recent recruitment processes.

Anba Manikham is known to be a close associate of Ken Arian, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Airport Holdings Ltd (AHL), which is the entity that owns the national airline.

The relationship between the current management of Air Mauritius under Charles Cartier and Ken Arian is strained.

Despite Charles Cartier denying the existence of any conflict during an interview on Radio Plus in the program “Au Coeur de l’info”.
