Raped on Beach: Nightmare for 38-Year-Old Czech Tourist

A 38-year-old Czech tourist claims she was raped in the early hours of Tuesday, March 5 on Flic-en-Flac beach. She has filed a complaint in the presence of an interpreter.

According to the woman, who arrived in Mauritius with friends and is staying in an apartment in Flic-en-Flac, she went to a pub in the area with her friends on the evening of Monday, 4 March. There, she met other friends, including an Australian.

They consumed alcoholic beverages. Afterward, as the Czech woman states, she had consensual sexual relations on the beach.

They then decided to head to their respective apartments. The tourist’s friends had already returned home. However, the woman recounts that she got lost and could not find her way back to her apartment.

She went to the main street of Flic-en-Flac towards the beach to orient herself.

A man approached her and forcibly dragged her away. The woman tried to resist and offered him money, but he didn’t listen.
