15 Sick Passengers Stranded on Cruise Ship: Potential Outbreak Looms

A cruise ship from Madagascar is currently immobilised off the coast of Mauritius with around fifteen unwell passengers on board.

The possibility of an infectious disease outbreak cannot be ruled out at this stage. Authorities have dispatched a team of doctors, nurses, and health department officers on board to care for the sick since yesterday.

A series of tests have been conducted on passengers and crew members, including a cholera test. According to the public health service, the results will be known by this Tuesday.
