Mauritius Takes Stand for Palestine

Mauritius pleaded in favour of Palestine yesterday, Thursday 22nd February, in front of the International Court of Justice.

The country was represented by Mauritius’ Ambassador to the United Nations, Jagdish Koonjul.

During his intervention, he emphasized that “Mauritius considers that Israel continues to deny the Palestinian people their right to self-determination.”

Jagdish Koonjul also cited the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice on the Chagos Archipelago.
