Robin Ramburn takes charge as Bar Council President

Robin Ramburn has been elected as the new President of the Bar Council, starting this Monday, January 29th. He was elected ahead of Anoup Goodary.

As a reminder, the Senior Counsel was part of Suren Dayal’s legal panel before the Privy Council of the King.

Therefore, starting from this Monday, Robin Ramburn succeeds Priscilla Balgobin-Bhoyrul as the head of the Bar Association.

It is worth noting that this is the second consecutive time Anoup Goodary has run as a candidate for the presidency. This is his second consecutive defeat.
