Patients get upgraded care at New Cancer Hospital

New Cancer Hospital: Soft launch of Out-Patient Department -18 January 2024. The Out-Patient Department Services of the New Cancer Hospital (New Building – Phase 2) were softly launched this morning.

This marks the commencement of services for cancer patients who were previously receiving treatment at Victoria Hospital in Candos.

Dr Dhanraz Gopal, the Regional Health Director, highlighted the enhanced services that will be provided to cancer patients, including the availability of chemotherapy treatments at the New Cancer Hospital.

Going forward, all Out-Patient Services will be carried out exclusively at the New Cancer Hospital.

Furthermore, Dr Dhanraz Gopal revealed that the installation of top-of-the-line equipment is currently underway, and emphasized that the New Cancer Hospital is expected to be fully operational by the end of March.
