“There is a widespread frustration”: Siven Selloyee explains his resignation from the MSM ruling party.

“I have been in the MSM for several years. Unfortunately, my skills are not being recognised and the country is drifting. This is unacceptable. I have made the decision to leave the party.” These are the words of Siven Selloyee, a former MSM member, who spoke to the press on Thursday, 18th January.

This former Campaign Manager for ministers Renganaden Padayachy (Finance) and Kailesh Jagutpal (Health) claimed that he submitted a letter to the Prime Minister on 12th January, informing him of his resignation. “I don’t fit in with today’s MSM,” said Siven Selloyee.

He added that he is acting independently and denies the information about his affiliation with the MMM (opposition party). “I have no contact with the MMM. I am not joining the MMM. As of now, I am an independent.”

He further stated that there is a widespread frustration in the country instead of a feel-good factor. “There is fear within the MSM. There is enormous frustration in several constituencies,” claimed Siven Selloyee.
