40,000 Mauritian homes plunged into darkness as power outages continue

Over 40,000 households are currently without electricity throughout Mauritius.

The regions of South, West, Central, and parts of North Mauritius are among the affected areas.

This information was provided by Thierry Ramasawmy, the Corporate Communication Manager of the Central Electricity Board (CEB), during an interview on RadioPlus this Tuesday morning, January 16th.

He assures that technical teams are currently working to restore power supply in the next few hours.
