Get Ready To Pay More: Private Clinics Are About To Increase Their Prices
Private Clinics: Brace for Price Hikes as Expenses Escalate!

After the frenzy of the year-end festivities and New Year celebrations, the harsh reality sets in with the resumption of economic activities starting on Monday, January 8.

A wave of increases is looming at the start of the year, particularly for fees charged by private clinics.

According to Dr. Dawood Oaris, President of the Private Clinics Association, private clinics will have no choice but to increase their prices to deal with future additional expenses.

While the upcoming salary increases may delight employees, the flip side will soon be felt with a series of price increases, particularly in the fees for various services provided by private clinics.

“To cope with future additional expenses, clinics will have no choice but to raise their prices,” explains Dr. Dawood Oaris, President of the Private Clinics Association.

Although no collective agreement has been reached on this matter, he believes that each clinic will inevitably review its prices to offset the additional expenses they will face from this month onwards, including the increase in minimum wage, for example.

Dr. Oaris highlighted “the lack of consultation between clinics” and points out that each will make a decision based on the services and benefits offered, as well as agreements made with insurance companies for patients who have insurance cover.

He added that a considerable number of patients are not medically insured and pay for their own healthcare expenses.

Dr. Oaris insists on the “need for a win-win situation between insurance companies and private clinics.”
