Tragic Start to 2024: French National Drowns in Trou-aux-Biches

Tragic demise befell 55-year-old French national, Xavier Lahaire, who met his untimely fate while swimming in the tranquil waters of Trou-aux-Biches lagoon.

On the evening of Monday, January 1st, just before 5 PM, the National Coast Guard came to the rescue, retrieving an unconscious Lahaire from the water’s depths.

Immediate medical assistance was administered by local authorities, who promptly transported him to the SSRN Hospital.

Sadly, his passing was subsequently confirmed. In light of this devastating incident, the police in Trou-aux-Biches has launched an inquiry, aiming to unravel the circumstances surrounding this distressing event.

The victim had been residing in a villa in the coastal village of Péreybère.
