Airport: Passenger arrivals on the rise

The passenger traffic at the port and airport for the first nine months of 2023 is on the rise.

The number of departures reached 1,259,340, compared to 857,288 for the same period in 2022.

Meanwhile, arrivals totalled 1,232,231 from January to September 2023, including 1,206,483 arrivals by air.

The number of arrivals is significantly higher compared to the same period in 2022 (850,869).

For the first nine months of the year, 14 cruise ships have made a stopover at Port-Louis, with 21,986 passengers.

Furthermore, Mauritians who travelled between January and September 2023 mainly visited the United Arab Emirates (52,0569), France (31,914), Reunion Island (30,303), India (20,777), the United Kingdom (19,652), and South Africa (18,450).
