New Attempt to Unite Militants Outside of MMM
There is a new attempt to bring together militants outside of the MMM, led by Steven Obeegadoo (PM), Ivan Collendavelloo (ML), and Alan Ganoo (MP) – all minor allies of the MSM ruling party.
This idea was relaunched at an end-of-year party organised by Obeegadoo’s party, where Collendavelloo, Ganoo, and other political figures were invited.
Obeegadoo argued that the relationship between the MMM and the Labour Party has not been successful and proposed creating a national militant force to march with the MSM in the next general elections.
Discussions will begin next year, and there is optimism about the potential success of this alliance.
Toolsyraj Benydin, president of the ML, supports the idea and believes that a merger will lead to a victory in the elections.
