In a significant move aimed at enhancing tourism and promoting international goodwill, the Iranian Cabinet has decided to waive visa requirements for visitors from Mauritius.

This strategic decision reflects Iran’s dedication to diversifying its tourist demographic and fostering positive global perceptions.

The move is meant to counter Iranophobia campaigns and create a more welcoming environment for travellers.

The newly implemented visa-waiver programme in Iran extends to a total of 33 countries, showcasing the country’s commitment to expanding its tourism industry.

Notable other additions include Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, India, Seychelles, Japan, Bosnia, Tanzania, and Vietnam, amongst others.
