January 2024 – Pay: 10% Increase for Air Mauritius Employees

From next January, all employees of the national airline, Air Mauritius, will receive a salary increase of 10%.

This was announced by Laurent Recoura, Officer in Charge of the national airline, in a message to the employees.

He emphasised that the company has recently gone through one of the most difficult periods in its history.

“In a highly challenging environment, you have shown determination and resilience.

To recognise your dedication to our company, I am delighted to inform you that the board of directors has approved a 10% salary increase for all Air Mauritius employees starting from January 2024,” said the Officer in Charge.

The spokesperson added that this decision is an interim measure as Air Mauritius will enter into collective bargaining negotiations by branch early next year.

This measure is in addition to the decision to grant an exceptional bonus to all staff members in the form of a payment equivalent to 1.25 months’ salary,” he added.
