2nd investigation for “Illegal Gathering” against opposition MPs
Opposition MPs are facing a second investigation for the offence of Illegal Gathering after a complaint was filed against them.
A police inspector recorded a statement stating that 21 opposition members, including Xavier-Luc Duval, Paul Bérenger, and Patrick Assirvaden, participated in the gathering.
The police report also names several other elected officials.
Despite being warned by a superintendent, the gathering lasted 19 minutes before the elected officials dispersed.
In contrast, no investigation was initiated following a smaller gathering of members of Linion Moris, as the number of participants fell below the imposed limit.
