Molnupiravir Saga: Ex-Pharmacist Sues ICAC for Rs100million

Brijendrasingh Naeck, the Principal Pharmacist of the Ministry of Health, is suing the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) for Rs100 million in damages related to the Molnupiravir Saga.

Naeck claims that key players involved in the scandal, who have connections to high-ranking officials, have not been questioned by the ICAC.

He alleges that the ICAC investigation has been conducted in bad faith and that he has been made a scapegoat.

Naeck argues that if a thorough investigation had been carried out, other individuals, including officials from the Ministry of Health, should have been arrested.

He further claims that despite his provisional charge being dropped, he has not been reinstated in his position.

The case will be heard in the Supreme Court on 18 January.
