Opposition MPs to Be quizzed over illegal gathering

Police are investigating an illegal gathering that took place outside parliament during an opposition rally.

Members of the opposition, including Xavier-Luc Duval and Paul Bérenger, spoke at the peaceful protest, which aimed to denounce the actions of the Speaker of the National Assembly and the Financial Crimes Commission Bill.

The police warned the opposition members at the end of the gathering that they were breaking the law, but no justification was provided.

There is a possibility that some opposition members may be summoned to the Central Barracks as a result of the investigation.
