Ascencia, a subsidiary of the ENL group, plans to achieve 25% of its malls’ electricity supply by June 2024 through the use of photovoltaic panels.
This goal is made possible thanks to the implementation of the Medium-Scale Distributed Generation by the Central Electricity Board (CEB).
Ascencia currently owns seven malls and aims to expand its green energy production from photovoltaic panels to meet the needs of its shopping malls.
While complete independence from the CEB is not currently feasible, the ENL group is working towards reducing its electricity consumption by approximately 25% through the MSDG initiative.
This initiative has already resulted in the production of green energy from photovoltaic panels installed in some of Ascencia’s malls.
Additionally, Envolt, another subsidiary of the ENL group, is involved in the production of solar panels, allowing for in-house production instead of relying on the CEB.
