Lux Belle Mare Rises From The Ashes, Reports 80% Occupancy Rate

Lux Belle Mare has reopened after a devastating fire, receiving international acclaim and already reaching 80% occupancy for the next two months.

Arnaud Lagesse, the CEO of IBL and Chairman of The Lux Collective, expressed gratitude to the government for their support and highlighted the hotel’s meticulous redesign and renovation.

He also insisted on the importance of attracting top talent and increasing Mauritius’ presence in global markets.

The Minister of Tourism Steven Obeegadoo praised the resilience of the hotel’s employees and the successful public-private partnership in the industry.

Proposals to address the labour shortage include hiring foreign workers when necessary.

Efforts are being made to restore air connectivity with China, he said.
