Jugnauth: No Early Elections, to Complete 5-Year Mandate
Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth has stated that his government will not hold general elections before the end of their mandate.
He made this announcement during a regional congress of the MSM party in Plaine-des-Papayes.
Jugnauth insisted that the decision regarding the election date is up to him and that his government is committed to completing their mandate.
He also criticised his adversaries, stating that there should not be any internal conflict and accusing some of wanting to seize power for selfish reasons.
Jugnauth highlighted the work his government still needs to accomplish and listed the measures they have taken during their current mandate.
