Water pipe goes bust, villages in the South without water for days

Water shortage continues to be subject of discontent around the island.

Since the week-end, residents of the southern villages of Rose-Belle, New Grove and l’Escalier have reportedly been affected by drastic water cuts.

According to reports, a pump of the Central Water Authority (CWA) broke down in Cluny.

While the pump is said to have been repaired, water supply is expected to get back to normal only in a few days.
