New Croatian ambassador presents credentials to President Roopun

The Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia, Mr Ante Cicvarić, presented his credentials, this week, to the President of the Republic of Mauritius, Mr Prithvirajsing Roopun, at the State House in Réduit.

In a statement, Ambassador Cicvarić said that the meeting with the President was very productive and that discussions focused on several areas of cooperation between Mauritius and Croatia.

He also spoke of the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries while adding that Mauritius and Croatia will further collaborate in new avenues for the mutual interest of their citizens.

He underlined that Croatia, just like Mauritius, is a tourist destination and therefore both countries intend to explore common areas of interest in the tourism sector. Matters pertaining to cultural exchanges were likewise evoked, he shared.

Mr Ante Cicvarić was promoted to the rank of Career Ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs in 2017.

The Ambassador met with Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth and Foreign Affairs Minister Alan Ganoo.
