Crowd boo minister at Bollywood concert

Gender equality Minister Kalpana Koonjoo-Shah was reportedly greeted by a chorus of boos as she walked up the stage at a concert by Indian singers Pawandeep and Arunita at the Côte d’Or Multisports complex on Friday evening.

The minister recently came under fire for attacking opposition MP Joanna Berenger over the use of an expression in Creole.

She later refused to reply to a question from Berenger in Parliament.

Media reports cited spectators as claiming that this is a bad sign. “People are fed up with the government”.

The video footage of the incident, uploaded by l’Express newspaper, has gone viral.
