Metro Express to start commercial operations in Curepipe in two months

The Metro Express will start commercial operations at the Curepipe Central Metro Station (CCMS) around the end of September or early October 2022 as significant progress has been made in the implementation of the project so far.

The first Light Rail Vehicle will be effecting trial tests up to the CCMS as from 20 July 2022, and this exercise will span over some two months.

Seven stations are currently under construction and will be ready on time so that the Metro Express can be fully operational from Curepipe to Port Louis. An Urban Terminal will also be constructed in Curepipe.
