Another cold evening ahead, heavy rain expected in some parts of the country

Mauritius is in for another chilly winter’s evening as the Met Office warns that the cold weather is going to stick around.

A strong anticyclone, it said, will will maintain moderate and cold trades over the region.

Heavy rain watch warnings have also been issued for the southern part of the island, to the East and over the Central Plateau.

On Thursday evening, the Mauritius Met expects temperature to go down to 13-15 degrees Celsius over the Central Plateau. 

Those living in coastal regions should expect a minimum temperature of 17-20 degrees Celsius.

Mauritius Met has advised against ventures in the open seas.
