Ramgoolam: ‘Time to oust this government’

Labour Party’s Dr Navin Ramgoolam has announced that his party will help the opposition’s ‘Alliance of Hope’ for the upcoming municipal elections.

He announced that he wants a committee to be set up with members of his party and those of the ‘Alliance of Hope’.

“I used to talk to the leaders of MMM and PMSD. I will continue to do so. My wish is to have a united opposition. Our common objective is to oust this incompetent government. They have done enough harm to this country,” Ramgoolam said.

He expressed reservations on ex-Finance Minister Rama Sithanen’s invitation for a government of National Unity. This is not reflect how we see things.”

He insisted that he will lead any alliance that includes the Labour Party. “No one will dictate us what to do.”
