Anticyclone Brings Chill, Temperatures Drop to 18°C

No high wave warning is in effect in Mauritius. However, the sea will be rough beyond the reefs with southwest swells of 3 meters.

Additionally, clouds associated with the remnants of a frontal system are influencing local weather.

A fairly strong anticyclone to the southwest of the Mascarene Islands is causing windy conditions and a slight decrease in temperatures, according to the weather service’s bulletin issued this Tuesday morning.

Cloudy periods are expected with showers mainly in the South, East, and on the central plateau.

Showers will be locally moderate, and pockets of fog are also expected in the highlands.

The maximum temperature will range between 24 and 27 degrees Celsius on the central plateau and between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius on the coast.

During the night, the minimum temperature will range between 18 and 21 degrees Celsius on the plateau and between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius in coastal areas.

The wind is blowing from the southeast at 25 km/h with gusts of 50 km/h. The sea is rough beyond the reefs with southwest swells of 3 meters.

Outings on the high seas, as well as in the lagoons of the West and South, are not recommended.
