Rescue: Dad and Son Struggle in Pomponette Plunge

Two Brit tourists in distress at sea in Pomponette necessitated the intervention of the National Coast Guard (NCG) and the police helicopter this Saturday morning.

An ongoing operation is underway to locate one of them.

A 47-year-old man and his 15-year-old son found themselves in trouble at sea in Pomponette this morning.

These Britons arrived in Mauritius for vacation yesterday, Friday, March 22.

The young man was rescued by the NCG while the search continues for his father.
