The opposition Member of Parliament of constituency 12 (Mahébourg/Plaine-Magnien), Richard Duval is concerned for his safety and has lodged a Precautionary Measure (PM) to that effect.

For the past two weeks, MP Duval claimed he has been followed by individuals whom he describes as “shady and suspicious.”

Duval filed the PM at the Trou Fanfaron police station on Monday, 19 February to explain that individuals, in various types of vehicles or on motorcycles, were following him.

He claims to have spotted them at his home in Flic-en-Flac, at his place of work, and in the parking lots of the Shopping Malls he recently visited.

The MP of the PMSD party fears that someone may intend to harm him.
