3 More Years: Seegolam Reappointed as Governor of Central Bank

Harvesh Seegolam reappointed as Governor of the Bank of Mauritius. He will continue his role for a duration of three years, starting from 1st March 2024.

This decision has been made by the President of the Republic, Prithiviraj Roopun, in accordance with the Prime Minister’s recommendation.

This reappointment is in line with the provisions of Article 13 of the 2004 Bank of Mauritius Act.

Additionally, Mardayah Kona Yerukunondu has also been reappointed as the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Mauritius for a three-year period commencing on 24th February 2024.

In parallel, Hemlata Sadhna Sewraj-Gopal has been designated as the Second Deputy Governor for a three-year term, starting from 1st March.
