In 2023, the Ministry of Civil Service imposed disciplinary measures on 184 officials, with 130 being police officers.

Sanctions ranged from warnings to dismissals, sparking concerns about indiscipline. The Disciplined Forces Service Commission (DFSC) took action against the police officers, with measures such as immediate dismissal, reprimands, and suspensions.

Notably, one civil servant retired in consultation with superiors to avoid controversies.

Calls for stricter recruitment processes surfaced, emphasizing the need for increased discipline in the civil service.

The State Employees Federation President, Radhakrishna Sadien, expressed concerns about a deterioration in the quality of civil service individuals, proposing the inclusion of psychologists in recruitment panels for more effective assessments.
