Strict Curfew: Rs100K Fines, 2-year Jail for Rule-Breakers
The Commissioner of Police, in a press conference held today, Monday 15th January, announced that a curfew will be imposed from 10 PM tonight until midday tomorrow, Tuesday 16th January.
Any violator will face fines up to Rs 100,000 and a maximum imprisonment of two years.
Only essential service workers will be allowed to travel.
Furthermore, he also mentioned the potential upgrade to alert level 4 if the weather conditions worsen.
In addition, Anil Kumar Dip urged the public not to spread false news as it hampers the police’s efforts.
