Gang Rampage: 3 Hurt as Thugs Terrorise Buses in Bambous

In a series of disturbing incidents in Cité La Ferme, Bambous, a gang has been causing chaos on buses, resulting in injuries to three passengers.

The Rivière-Noire police are actively investigating two complaints filed on Wednesday night, involving acts of intimidation and aggression towards passengers and conductors.

The incidents occurred around 9 p.m., with one bus driver reporting that a group obstructed the route, throwing stones at the bus and later boarding with sabers to threaten occupants.

Another complaint from a different bus conductor detailed a similar attack by a group armed with sabers and clubs.

The gang, wearing masks, vandalized buses, including breaking windows and damaging the windshield.

The police, alerted to the scenes, arrived to find the perpetrators had already fled.

The injured passengers were residents of Résidence Vallijee, and three of them received medical care, with one requiring hospitalization at Dr A.G. Jeetoo Hospital and Victoria Hospital.

The police are working to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for these acts.
