Bonds Sweep Stock Market with Rs 87.2M Surge
In the past week, bonds have gained popularity among investors in the stock market, with trades totalling approximately Rs 87.2 million.
This contributed to a total exchange value of Rs 262.3 million. Notably, the African Domestic Bond Fund ETF, MCB Group Limited, CM Diversified Credit Ltd, ENL Limited bonds, and MCB Group Limited bonds saw the largest trades.
The market indices saw a decrease, with SEMTRI closing at 8,737.81 points, SEMDEX losing 0.28% to end at 2,037.61 points, and the SEM-10 index closing at 367.52 points.
On the Development & Enterprise Market, DEMEX and DEMTRI ended at 267.21 and 426.88 points respectively, with a capitalisation of Rs 52.2 billion.
