Former MCB Group CEO Pierre Guy Noël, 67, Passes Away

Pierre Guy Noël, former CEO of the MCB Group, has passed away at the age of 67.

A holder of a BSc (Honours) in Economics and a Chartered Accountant (UK), Pierre Guy Noël joined MCB in 1992 after spending around ten years at De Chazal Du Mée, the local representative of Arthur Andersen.

In 1994, he was appointed Senior Manager, before becoming Chief Manager in 1995 and General Manager of MCB Ltd in 1996.

He held this position until 2014, before being appointed as CEO. In addition to the MCB Group, he presided over or served on the boards of multiple companies, including Banque Française Commerciale Océan Indien (BFCOI), MCB Madagascar, MCB Seychelles, MCB Maldives, MCB Capital Markets Ltd, MCB Consulting, MCB Factors Ltd, and MCB Microfinance, among others.

He retired as CEO of the MCB Group earlier this year.

As a tribute, flags are being flown at half-mast at MCB branches and year-end festivities have been cancelled.
