New eye hospital to be operational in 2024
The Health Minister, Kailash Jagutpal, has revealed the progress of the construction of the new eye hospital in Réduit.
Responding to a question in Parliament, the minister announced that the hospital will be operational from next year.
The project, he said, estimated at Rs 714.7 million, is being constructed on a 7-arpent plot in the Réduit Triangle.
Launched on July 16, 2022, the facility is now 37% complete.
The future hospital will have six floors and will accommodate 117 beds.
The new hospital aims to meet the growing demand for eye care in the region.
