Huawei has launched its DigiTalent program in Mauritius, benefiting 1,000 individuals, and has also rewarded the winners of the ICT Competition.

The DigiTalent program aims to develop digital skills in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector and recruit new talents.

The program includes training, capacity-building, and competitions.

Huawei emphasised the importance of ICT in society and the need to support local innovators.

The company has helped improve the ICT skills of over 1,000 people in Mauritius over the past three years.

The winners of the ICT Competition included a Mauritian team whose Green Light Project aims to improve traffic flow using modern technology.
