Mauritius Telecom Doubles Internet Speeds: Up to 300 Mbps Downloads

Mauritius Telecom (MT) is boosting internet speeds for my.t home fixed subscriptions through fibre optic technology. The operator is introducing a new package with a download speed of 300 Megabytes per second (Mbps) and an upload speed of 50 Mbps, priced at Rs 2,500 per month.

Existing subscriptions are also getting an upgrade. The 100 Mbps connection is being increased to 200 Mbps for the same monthly rate of Rs 2,000.

Similarly, the 50 Mbps connection is doubling to reach 100 Mbps, still at Rs 1,500.

The 20 Mbps connection is being bumped up to 50 Mbps at the same price of Rs 1,200.

The two highest-tier packages in the lineup maintain their download speeds, with improvements made to their upload speeds.

The upload speed now goes from 60 Mbps to 100 Mbps for the 1 Gigabyte per second (Gbps) connection, and from 40 to 80 Mbps for the 500 Mbps connection.

With these new offers, Mauritius will join the top league of countries with the fastest internet. Some 260,000 households will enjoy their new offers.
