More than 600 cases of conjunctivitis recorded in just 6 days. This information was released by the Ministry of Health.

These cases were reported from April 22 to April 28 in the five regional hospitals. This number has doubled compared to the same period last year, according to Dr. Fazil Khodabocus.

Speaking on RadioPlus on Thursday, May 2, the public health physician said that the current hot and humid climate is conducive to the proliferation of microbes and viruses.

Dr. Fazil Khodabocus reminds that conjunctivitis is an inflammation of the conjunctiva, the white part of the eye, which becomes red, painful, and watery.
