The Mauritian textile and apparel industry aims to boost visibility and exports to the United States, one of its key markets.

A recent Mauritian delegation visited the United States to focus on the long-term renewal of the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) and the revision of its graduation clause.

Additionally, the Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) is looking to collaborate with a Mauritian academic institution to promote ethical manufacturing practices.

This initiative aims to enhance the sector’s competitiveness and sustainability, with several local factories already holding WRAP certification.
