Mauritius Finance Minister, Central Bank Governor bag international awards

The winners of the 13th edition of the African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA) for 2023 have been revealed by the African Leadership Magazine (ALM).

Renganaden Padayachy, the Finance Minister of Mauritius, was named ‘African Finance Minister of the Year’, ahead of his Zimbabwean counterpart, Mthuli Ncube.

The winners and finalists of the African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA) 2023 will receive their trophies and official recognition during the award ceremony at the 8th Africa Summit 2023, scheduled to take place in London on July 10 and 11, 2023.

In addition to the ABLA accolades, Harvesh Seegolam, the Governor of the Bank of Mauritius, was awarded the ‘Central Bank Governor of the Year’ at the 7th African Banker Awards 2023, held on May 24.

The African Business Leadership Awards and the African Banker Awards recognize leaders, innovators, and institutions driving growth and development across the African continent.
