LUX* Grand Gaube Mauritius in the finals of ‘Most Instagrammable Hotel in the world’

Mauritius’ LUX* Grand Gaube is the finalist of a global competition by Luxury Travel Advisor to become the “Most Instagrammable Hotel in the world”.

LUX* Grand Gaube battled through 170 nominees and made it up to the second half of the final bracket, outscoring Funchal, Portugal’s Savoy Palace in the highest-scoring matchup in the contest yet.

In the end, it secured 52.54% of the 58,675 votes cast (a final tally of 30,829 to 27,846).

The natural-yet-retro-chic décor at LUX Grand Gaube is the only hotel in Mauritius and the Indian Ocean still in the competition. After winning the regional title in Asia, the Indian Ocean and the South Pacific, the Mauritian hotel now faces the Tivoli Mofarrej São Paulo Hotel.
